Kids Tech University:
Step onto campus and explore STEM subjects taught by college faculty
$100 per student/parent for all four sessions.
Students aged 9-12
10am – 2:30pm
Get hands-on in a college science lab. Explore new ideas with college professors. Become a scientist – conduct an experiment and collect your own data. Become a pro with scientific equipment. Be inspired for your future career.
• Student and parent must both attend. At the same time parents will be invited to a three-part series produced by the local Campus Consortium entitled “Explore College”, helping parents prepare for college.
• Students will be given meal cards so they can have a college meal experience, check out the bookstore, and walk around campus until interactive lab time.
• After lunch, students will be divided into groups by age for an interactive science lab experience based on the topic of the day.
Students and parents must attend all four sessions.
Need-based sponsorships are available for this program, with a primary designation for Licking County residents. Newark City Students should apply for sponsorship through A Call to College by filling out the application found at http://www.acalltocollege.org/KidsTechUniversity.aspx. Other students in need of sponsorship should contact Kim Clark at The Works at 740-349-9277 to receive a sponsorship application.
