Join us in the SciDome for an evening of captivating science and entertainment! On the third Thursday of each month, hear from dynamic speakers about current science topics. Aimed toward adults who have a craving for lifelong learning, these sessions are sure to get your gears turning. Grab a seat, relax, and get an inside view of the science that makes our world.

Dr. Andrew Heckler, Professor of Physics, The Ohio State University

These are exciting times for education, especially science education. New discoveries about learning and teaching are emerging from research by cognitive psychologists, educational psychologists,and more recently, scientists such as physicists and chemists studying how students learn science and how to best teach science. Dr. Heckler will discuss some of these findings and how effective new teaching methods are beginning to be applied in the classrooms of today.
