Donate to The Works Annual Fund Drive 2021

How do you build a better future? By building our community.

At The Works, we’ve been building our community for more than 20 years by inspiring creativity and learning through STEM, art and history experiences for all ages.

Through the challenges of 2020, The Works has steadfastly delivered on our mission by serving our community in new ways: offering virtual SciDome shows, art and history talks, and virtual summer camps and robotics programs… conducting a STEM toy giveaway delighting hundreds of local families… building a new outdoor, self-guided walking tour covering the local history of transportation. See more examples at right.

To help The Works continue to serve, your financial support is critically needed. With the pandemic, our doors were closed for much of 2020, so your donations to our Annual Fund are needed now more than ever.

Every donation – of every size – ensures our programs inspire the stories of our community and beyond.

Help make The Works MORE than a Museum!

Your Annual Fund donation is appreciated at any level.

To build a better future, Buy A Brick! Your Annual Fund gift of $250 or more will add your specially inscribed brick to our walking paths at The Works. Gifts of $1,000+ will be recognized with a stone paver. Leave your mark on The Works’ historic property in downtown Newark with your leading support!

Once you make your donation of $250+, you will be asked to fill out a form to personalize your brick or paver. Questions? Contact Bonny Fowler, [email protected] or 740-670-8064.

At The Works, education is our passion. And inspiring today’s children to become tomorrow’s engineers, creators, and innovators is our call to action. We believe it’s your call to action, too. To continue providing a high-quality educational experience, however, requires three main ingredients:

Reinvestment and renewal in quality programming
To keep our programming relevant and successful, we must regularly reinvest in the educational resources we offer. That means building new exhibits, creating new outreach and tour programming, and offering more teacher professional development opportunities.

Volunteers who are the heart and soul of The Works
With the help of our more than 150 volunteers, we are able to provide more than 50 educational programs every year, visit 182 schools across 12 counties, and serve guests from 35 states.

Financial support from donors like you
To accomplish our goal requires not only quality programming and volunteer support. It also requires an investment form those in our community who are able to give back in an impactful way to help those who are not able to financially contribute.

Make an impact by donating today.
