"Stories in Four Colors: Cartoon Art in Ohio"

exhibit will include works by nationally published artists David Mack,
Andy Bennett, Scott Simmons, Michael Neno, Max Ink, Russell Merritt,
Matt Wyatt, Ray Tomczak and Jonathon Riddle.

David
Mack is the New York Times Best Selling author and artist of the
KABUKI Graphic Novels: Including the new KABUKI: The Alchemy collection
from Marvel, writer and artist of Daredevil from Marvel Comics, and the
author and artist of his new children’s book THE SHY CREATURES.
Mack's work has garnered nominations for seven Eisner Awards, four
International Eagle Awards, and both the Harvey and Kirby Awards in the
category of Best New Talent, as well as many other national and
international awards and nominations.
David Mack is one of the only creators to be listed in both the Top Ten
Writers List, and the Top Ten Artists List in Wizard Magazine. Mack’s
writing and art work on KABUKI, have earned him international acclaim
for his innovative storytelling, sophisticated content, mixed media
painting techniques, and page design. KABUKI is available
internationally and has been translated in seven different languages,
in addition to nearly two million copies of KABUKI Comics, Paperbacks,
and Hard cover graphic novels in print in the U.S. alone.
Currently Mack is working with the Philip K. Dick Estate to adapt
the Science Fiction Master's work to graphic novels at Marvel Comics,
Co-writing a new Daredevil story with Brian Michael Bendis, and writing
his new children's books.

Scott
D.M. Simmons is a freelance illustrator living in Cincinnati Ohio, and
is best known for his artwork for Topps' STAR WARS sketch cards, the
comic book series WANNABEZ, and the Ohio Star Wars Collectors Club
(OSWCC). He is also involved with the comic series HALLOWEEN MAN,
having worked on several stories including HACKOWEEN, its crossover
with Tim Seeley's "Hack/Slash". His new upcoming comic book projects
include THE DEAD CELL for Arcana Comics, and a special project called
INTERPOL. Scott was first published at age 11 with a comic strip called
ANDREW in a small newspaper in Bethel Ohio, and he later created
various comics for his high school newspaper. After graduating from the
University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Scott was
a digital photographer at Hasbro Toys for eight years and later became
an instructor for The Art Institutes. Scott got involved on the comic
convention scene, wrote for comics news websites, and started his
comics career off with art on JENNY EVERYWHERE and GLOBAL COMIC JAM.
Outside of comics, Scott has had illustrations published within an
educational book series and a few magazines. Also, he will soon be
releasing new comic projects under his creator-owned ANGELWOLF COMICS
